Live Painting in the Hennessy Suite at the Cleveland Cavaliers Game

Sometimes one collaboration leads to another, and that’s exactly what happened when my work with the Cleveland Cavaliers opened the door to a new opportunity with Hennessy. After designing custom sneakers for the Cavs’ Sneakers & Spirits Night activation, star player Donovan Mitchell, and head coach Kenny Atkinson, the Cavaliers referred me directly to Hennessy for their own private activation at Rocket Arena.
This time, I was invited to be the featured artist inside Hennessy’s private suite during a Cavs home game, where I would be live painting custom Hennessy branded sneakers for their team members.
Creating in Real Time in a Rocket Arena Private Suite
My artwork and dedication to my career has brought me to some incredible places, but walking into a luxury Hennessy suite at the Cavs Rocket Arena with a paintbrush in hand was truly surreal. I had a few moments to myself in the suite to take in my surroundings and set up before anyone else arrived, and I couldn’t help but feel so ecstatic about the view I was taking in of my art set up right over the Cavs court!
The goal was simple but exciting: bring the Hennessy brand to life on sneakers, in real time, for their guests and partners to witness up close. I painted throughout the game, layering elements of Hennessy’s rich brand identity, the colors, the elegance, and the logos onto the sneakers; all while fans watched the Cavaliers battle it out on the court just below. I stayed totally locked in throughout the evening (I didn’t even give myself the chance to enjoy any of the yummy suite food unfortunately) and had a blast chatting with everyone about my work while I painted. I ended up completing the pairs right as the Cavs won the game, so the end-game celebration definitely felt that much more special!
Reflections: Grateful and Growing
I’m genuinely super thankful for how the Cavs collaboration helped open this door, and to Hennessy for trusting me to represent their brand in such a unique, high-visibility way.
There’s something incredibly fulfilling about painting in a space like that; where culture, high energy, and creativity all meet in one moment. These kinds of projects remind me that what I do isn’t just about shoes, it’s about creating experiences. And I’m just getting started!
