Custom Samba Sneakers for Bloom’s New Sparkling Energy Drink
When Bloom launched their new sparkling energy drink, they wanted a creative way to celebrate and highlight the flavors that defined their new energy drink. To mark the occasion, they commissioned me to design a custom Samba sneaker inspired by the drink’s vibrant packaging and flavors. The project combined my artistry and Bloom’s branding, resulting in a one-of-a-kind sneaker for Bloom’s founder, Mari Llewellyn.
Designing the Bloom-Inspired Samba
The inspiration for the custom Samba came directly from Bloom’s new sparkling energy drink. The bright, bold flavors and lively aesthetic of the product guided the design, with the goal of creating a sneaker that embodied the essence of the drink.
I incorporated elements of the drink’s can like the fruit imagery along with it’s respective colors, bubbles, and Bloom’s recognizable green to make the design feel cohesive and intentional. The Samba’s classic silhouette provided the perfect canvas to bring Bloom’s vibrant energy to life in a wearable way.
Showcasing the Process Through Content
In addition to designing the sneaker, I created promotional content for their Instagram page that documented the entire process. The content featured everything from the initial painting to the final reveal alongside their energy drink, giving Bloom’s audience an inside look at the creative journey behind the custom design.
This behind-the-scenes approach helped connect the sneaker’s story to Bloom’s product launch, allowing their social media followers to see how the flavors and branding of the drink inspired the final piece. The content served as both a celebration of the product and a way to engage with their audience in a creative and standout way.
